Start up guide
To start planning, follow the following steps:
- Write a short description of your trip above.
- Add interesting places to .
- Add a page in and for each day of your trip and set the date.
- Add a page in for each day of your trip and attach a relevant entry of and to “Wake up at”, … and “Food” fields.
- Invite the others to join you in planning the trip. Use Notion settings to add more collaborators. Suggest them adding their personal details to . This will only be visible to the members of this workspace, but will help you a lot to send out all the booking confirmations, share relevant files or list the group in a visa application.
Optionally, setup the tools for your trip beyond Notion:
- Create a Google Maps list and share with the others. You might need several lists for different types of places, for example: your hotels, your places of interest and your food plans. You can also add notes to the places to remember why this is marked or when you have a reservation.
- Create a Splitwise group and invite the others. You will have many shared expenses related to the trip and it is handy to have everything in one place.
- Create a Google Photos album and invite the others to contribute. This will help you to create a joined photo album from all the people and devices.
Now you can start planning by populating each of the pages in , , (and marking the date for each), notes and details for each day in . All the contributions will be nicely aligned and structured by the date.
